BETKING CARES CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CAMPAIGN
At KingMakers, taking care of our people and communities is at the very core of our business. Our CSR strategy is focused on Education, Health, Sports and Entrepreneurship, to help improve the quality of the lives and communities we operate in. Since we launched in 2018, the BetKing brand has been on a continuous journey to reshape the perception of the gaming industry in Nigeria, and across Africa.
In April 2022, we embarked on one of our CSR initiatives, this time focusing on Health, Wellness, as well as Environment Sustainability. We launched the Month of Good (MOG) campaign, under the tag name “BetKing Cares” in several communities and States across Nigeria.
To execute the BetKing Cares campaign, BetKing focused on medical outreaches and environmental sustainability exercises, partnering with two NGOs; Market Doctors & African Cleanup Initiative, to identify communities that would solely benefit from the campaign across Nigeria.
Here’s what we did:
We took our campaign to seven Nigerian cities:
The BetKing Cares medical outreach kicked off in Surulere on April 20th, 2022, and during the span of 3 weeks, over 1600 residents of Jakande, Ejigbo, Lekki, Pako and more all benefited from medical tests, free health kits, and healthcare education.
For the environmental sustainability exercise in Lagos, BetKing employees and ACI personnel cleaned Elegushi, Okun-Ajah, and Alpha beaches.
Ibadan, Benin, Enugu, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Anambra.
Across 6 new cities, we teamed up with Market Doctors for medical outreaches in specific locations across these cities. We conducted the same tests as in Lagos, distributing free health kits, and providing free health education to individuals at BetKing Cares medical points.
We also partnered with ACI for market and drainage cleanups in Bwari market, Ring Road, Rumuola junction, amongst others.
At the end of the month-long campaign, the numbers were staggering. Our medical outreach involved Health education, vital measurements, medical tests, medical consultation, provision of drugs/reading glasses and distribution of hygiene kits.
2,718 people benefited directly from the campaign.

in total, we provided medical and wellness care and equipment across 7 Nigerian cities.
16 BetKing Agents shops were activated within 16 communities
150 patients were attended to daily
1600 people received health gift packs that were provided and gender specific.
144 people received selfcare medical devices such as Glucometer, BP Meter, Weighing Scale and Hot Water Bottle to promote health and wellbeing in their homes.
Over 220 volunteers (drawn almost exclusively from our workforce) completed three beachfront cleanups in Lagos and drainage cleanups at Bwari Market, Abuja; Ring Road, Benin, and Rumuola junction, Port Harcourt.
6960 Antimalarial, Antidiabetics, Pain relievers, Worm expellants, contraceptives, Antibiotics, and Hematinics were prescribed and given to sick patients.
920kg of solid waste and133.9kg of recycled waste.

Although the “BetKing Cares” campaign has been concluded; subsequent phases are already in motion. We will continue to roll out community-driven initiatives under this campaign to continue to give back to people and society.
